As the Test System Data Analyst at Badger Meter you will be at the forefront of driving efficiency automating processes and enabling informed decisionmaking across multiple manufacturing sites. This position plays a critical role in ensuring excellence in safety quality delivery cost and environmental standardsall while championing continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Badger Meters corporate values. This position isresponsible for the business system support/data analysis data automation and continuous improvement related to all testing activities including data reporting presentation of metrics production test data management test capacity planning test process control and KPI reporting and running diagnostic and system testing and presenting the information to the relevant stakeholders across multiple manufacturing sites. This role is critical in supporting all Safety Quality Delivery Cost Environmental and Continuous improvement initiatives and metrics including the ability to work with internal and external customers to support Badger Meters corporate values and goals.
Job Duties:
Work with all site/regional teams to review data automation processes for overall efficiency improvements as well as reporting and supporting organizational metrics.
Assist in selection and implementation of business systems to support longterm growth of Badger Meter (examples test data management and visual factory).
Evaluate data analyze results using statistical techniques to deliver ongoing reports
Develop and implement databases data collection systems data analytics etc. to optimize statistical performance
Collect data from various data sources and manage databases/data systems
Recognize analyze and describe complex data set trends and patterns
Screen and cleanse data by reviewing reports performance indicators to find and fix problems
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to prioritize business and information needs
Establish and explain new process improvement possibilities
Assist in developing and implementing tools to support a robust test process control. This ranges from test yield analysis and throughput; to automated visual dash boards on the manufacturing floor; and test optimization tools
Assist with tools to help identify capacity constraints using the test planning process and production requirements.
Manage and optimize test practices. This includes processes and business tools for cycle time reduction and yield optimization.
Assist with tools to evaluate and manage business costs to improve overall productivity.
Provide and optimize business system tools to support test optimization.
Up to 10 travel required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in computer science computer engineering mathematics statistics industrial engineering or relevant field required
3 years of working experience in statistical analysis/data analytics desired; significant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in Python/SQL required
Basic understanding of manufacturing systems preferred
Intermediate understanding of data management and business intelligence tools preferred
Intermediate understanding of metadata standards preferred
Basic essential scripting skills required
Ability to demonstrate sharp analytical and problemsolving skills
Proven ability in handling large data sets and relational databases required
Knowledge of translating business requirements to an Executive Summary
Expertise in analyzing existing tools and databases to give software solution proposals required
Experience in methodologies and processes for managing largescale database required
