The successful candidate should have experience teaching introductory film criticism courses in addition to upper level courses in film criticism and film history. Candidates should have experience teaching courses inperson as well as online as well as experience teaching large lecture courses. The position will start in August 2025.
Duties will include developing classes and teaching effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and providing service to the Department University and discipline.
Regular reliable and nondisruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.

Ph.D. in Communication or terminal degree in a related field by the time of appointment
Demonstrated competency in the classroom
Experience teaching introductory courses in film studies as well as upperlevel courses in the area
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching film courses online or remote as well as large lecture inperson formats
A commitment to building an inclusive scholarly environment through teaching mentoring research outreach or service
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Experience and knowledge in teaching lower and upperlevel courses in film criticism
Experience and knowledge in teaching large lecture courses
Experience and knowledge in teaching online and inperson formats
