You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Department of Veterinary Clinical and Life Sciences (VCLS) in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Utah State University (USU) seeks applicants for the position of Clinical Director for the Distributed Veterinary Teaching Program (DVTP). The faculty rank will be at the Clinical Assistant Clinical Associate or Clinical Professor level. This position plays a key leadership role in overseeing clinical education for veterinary students in a distributed learning environment. The Clinical Director will ensure highquality clinical training maintain strong partnerships with affiliated veterinary instructional partners (AVIPs) and contribute to the advancement of veterinary education at USU.
This role carries a primary emphasis on teaching 75 with service responsibilities comprising 25 of the position. Faculty in this role are expected to engage in highquality instruction curriculum development and student mentorship alongside fulfilling service obligations related to clinical education program administration accreditation compliance and university governance. Additionally this role requires regular travel throughout the state and Intermountain Region and oversight of others travel for frequent onsite inperson and/or remote visits to AVIP sites and preceptors to support student learning ensure clinical training quality and maintain strong partnerships with affiliated instructional partners.

The Clinical Director Distributed Veterinary Teaching Program (DVTP) will be joining the college at an exciting point of transformation. Currently the USU College of Veterinary Medicine is in its final year of participation in a 22 program with the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University and the broader WashingtonIdahoMontanaUtah (WIMU) Regional Program in Veterinary Medicine which provides instruction to 30 students in each class cohort. However in 2022 the state of Utah approved the creation of a full fouryear Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree program at USU with the goal of admitting its inaugural class of 40 students in the fall of 2025 and supporting a class size of 80 veterinary students in subsequent years. The new college is the only veterinary medical education program in Utah.
