Job Description
Sr. Accountant (Band 7
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and review timely journal entries balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis
- Provide technical guidance to other accounting teams and financial partners
- Review capital acquisition requests from business partners
- Facilitate integration and accounting of newly acquired entities
- Support adhoc internal group and corporate requests as needed
- Challenge current processes to identify improvement opportunities
- Work closely with key business partners to identify and mitigate issues impeding the achievement of business goals
- Ensure business transactions continue to be in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles policies and SOX controls
Secondary Responsibilities
- Document work product using available systems and tools
- Provide oral and written communication to impacted departments
- Provide technical guidance and supervising supports to the team
- Provide ongoing accounting guidance and mentoring to Finance and Sales Operations teams
- Act as liaison with internal and external auditors

Job Knowledge
- General Ledger Accounting
- Knowledge of SarbanesOxley US GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in SAP and JD Edwards/E1 Oracle R12 is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (Finance or Accounting preferred) with 4 to 6 years of previous accounting experience
- Minimum of 46 years of progressive accounting experience at a large public international corporation or at a public acExperience in the ERP systems and analytical tools such as: E1 (J.D. Edwards) SAP SQL Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and firm.
- Experience in GL accounting and monthend close. Experience in a large organization and experience with close cycles is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103100.00$160000.00.
