Job Description
In accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Manager Pharmacy Informatics utilizing a variety of Pharmacy and hospital software applications such as Cerner and with direction from the Informatics Analyst the Informatics Support Analyst Pharmacy maintains Pharmacy electronic systems and databases; tests new/revised systems and records and reports results; investigates documents and resolves or escalates/assigns systems and hardware problems in accordance with established protocols and procedures; supports systems analysis and development; and participates in systems user orientation and training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience
Completion of a recognized two year computer systems technology diploma program or recognized Computer Science courses plus two 2 years recent related experience in a hospital pharmacy setting or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
