We are seeking a strategic leader with investigations and supervisory experience to join Occupational Health and Safety Program Delivery within the Safe Fair and Healthy Workplaces Division as the Manager of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
Reporting to the Director of Investigations the SIU Manager leads a team of professionals responsible for all nonincident related investigations under Albertas Occupational Health and Safety legislation. This position is responsible for a team of Lead Investigators Disciplinary Action Investigators Technical Advisors Team Leads and an Investigations Assistant with oversight of Disciplinary Action Complaints Investigation Resolutions and nonincident related investigations taking place across the province including chronic or egregious noncompliance and human trafficking.
The Investigations Manager liaises with internal and external stakeholders including staff OHS Compliance other enforcement agencies the Alberta Labor Relations Board and Specialized Prosecutions with the Ministry of Justice where charges under the Occupational Health and Safety Act are pursued.
