Duties and responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of research proposals and research instruments.
Collect and analyse data from a wide variety of sources.
Draft research reports and contribute to valid conclusions and recommendations.
Contribute towards preparing presentations of research outcomes for the department to present to management and other stakeholders.
Participate in the coordination of the development of faculty and support department annual performance plans.
Implement processes methods skills knowledge and experiences to achieve specified project objectives.
Provide support to the monitoring and implementation of new initiatives which contribute to the implementation of the Universitys strategic plan.
Participate in institutional strategic planning and provide input into formulating the Universitys vision mission and deliverables.
Participate in identifying management information needs.
Participate in departmental planning and team meetings.
Contribute towards tracking and reporting progress against set implementation plans and deliverables.
Participate in the dissemination of decisionmaking tools and processes that are fit for purpose.
Participate in engagements with internal and external stakeholders on research outputs and other DIRAP outputs.
Inherent Job Requirements:
Honours degree on NQF Level 8 in broader social sciences (including the Humanities Law Education and Economic and Management Sciences).
A minimum two 2 years of working experience related to the duties and responsibilities.
Recommendations:
A minimum of four 4 years work experience in the South African higher education environment.
Knowledge of university systems policies procedures.

Salary:
The annual remuneration package including benefits is R447 323.31 R562 750.48 per annum depending on the budget available for the position relevant work experience and qualifications.
