NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: Elementary Teacher (K6
REPORTS TO: Elementary Principal
STARTING DATE: Fall 2025
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teachers Certificate in K6 Elementary.
- Highly Qualified as defined by the Michigan Department of Education.
- Graduate of a recognized college or university.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge and confidence in teaching all subject areas to elementary students.
- Experience with elementaryage students.
- ZA (Early Childhood) endorsement from Michigan.
- Understanding and knowledge of Google Classroom and other online instructional tools.
- Knowledge of ELA and math curriculum including the understanding of depth of student knowledge and mastery of skills needed for students to meet the Michigan State Standards.
- Knowledge of the 5 Components of Reading Instruction and the 10 Essentials for early literacy.
- Knowledge of administering and interpreting assessments (state and local assessments NWEA Acadience etc.
- Competence in guiding students through technologybased learning.
- Knowledge of standardsbased grading and reporting and writing assessments and scales to the standards.
- Knowledge and experience in highly engaging instructional strategies including differentiation handson and cooperative learning manipulatives cognitively guided instruction etc.
- Experience in identifying students for MTSS and designing instruction for remediation reinforcement and enrichment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and be a positive team member throughout the building and district.
SALARY: As per negotiated CEA contract.
