Position Summary
Postdoctoral Position on LHCb with Indiana University The Physics Department at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a postdoctoral position with its group working on the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The research activities of the group will focus on the study of the partonic structure of protons and nuclei as well as the properties of quarkgluon plasma. The group will also be heavily involved in the development and operation of LHCbs heterogeneous software trigger system. The successful candidate will focus on analysis of Run 3 protonproton and heavyion data using jets and heavyflavor probes. The candidate will also participate in algorithm and software development for the LHCb trigger system as part of the Real Time Analysis Project. A Ph.D. in experimental highenergy or nuclear physics is required by time of appointment. The appointment could begin as early as August 1 2025. Later start dates are negotiable.
