About Us
ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. As part of this contract Serco in partnership with Bupa provide defenceready clinical and support staff across 50 onbase locations nationally ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality onsite medical care. You will be responsible for providing chairside assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records as well as other duties as required by the Dentist including promotion of oral health to patients and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years.
- Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011 and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009 certification.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of safe efficient and highquality care to patients within a dental surgery.
About Holsworthy Health Centre
Holsworthy Health Centre is located 25 kilometres southwest of central Sydney. Located on a 20000hectare base it comprises of a 41bed inpatient ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical aviation & underwater medical nursing dental mental health pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Holsworthy base is also home to the Defence Force Correctional Establishment where detainees are visited by RNs daily. Standard hours of operation are generallyMonday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and oncall shifts).

You have a professional and friendly manner and enjoy interacting with patients and assisting the dental team with a range of support activities. Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures you take pride in contributing to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment and assisting your team wherever possible. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do. You are passionate about providing dental support services and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients.
