Job Summary
This position is a direct report to the Group Product Manager and is responsible for providing project/program management in the specific area of technology enablement. This position is responsible for managing full lifecycle of projects to meet business outcomes spanning multiple technologies including associated impacts cost schedule and complexity.
Job Responsibilities
Manages and oversee projects through various SDLC phases and processes
Manages teams in delivering project scope budget and schedule on time
Able to manage complex IT Projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Able to perform in depth project financial analysis cost estimation forecasting invoice and accrual management
Develops and manages project plan in MS Project and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management
Leads identification and resolution of project risks opportunities and issues
Works on multiple large projects simultaneously and tracks dependencies
Work with suppliers to ensure client expectations are met to onboard supplier team members and to ensure supplier alignment with PMO practices.
Develop and maintain an indepth technical and business knowledge of the PMO / portfolio and project management processes to ensure efficient design programming testing and implementation of recommended solutions.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 6 years of relevant experience in the technology field; in lieu of a degree 10 years of relevant experience in the technology field may be considered.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities through projects or other work planning experiences
Understanding of and experience in IT project management methodologies requirements management quality assurance and IT processes.
Experience in IT program/project management with standardized PMO processes and tools including project controls forecast reporting and performance management
Indepth knowledge of PMO / portfolio and project management functions applications and technology alternatives
Demonstrated experience managing outsourced vendors (on and off shore) within the information technology field.
Leadership technical teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Good understanding of technology platforms and ability to explain technical concepts to the business users in the context of business requirements.
Ability to create senior level presentations via various mediums strong oral and written communication skills
Desired:
Experience with CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) and/or managing projects
Project delivery experience with AWS or other cloud and Mobility platforms
Over 3 years of experience managing team of 5 staff or external contractors
