As the Research Manager for the Vaccination Research Group at the Peter Doherty Institute youll play a pivotal role in advancing vaccine research. Youll manage diverse clinical trials lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure the highest standards of research integrity. This position offers you the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking vaccine studies shape research strategies and drive innovation in infectious disease prevention.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading Clinical Trials: Plan and execute new vaccine trials in adults ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Managing Research Teams: Oversee multidisciplinary study teams including recruitment training and performance evaluations.
  • Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Develop policies protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clinical trials.
  • Coordinating Trial Logistics: Manage study documentation databases and communication with sponsors and CROs.

You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced clinical research professional with a strong background in vaccine trials possessing excellent leadership skills and a thorough understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles and regulatory requirements.

You may also:

  • Have significant experience in planning conducting and managing clinical research and trials.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of medical and laboratory terminology.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data and database management for clinical trials.
  • Have experience in industrysponsored research.
  • Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be skilled in project management and regulatory documentation.
  • Show a commitment to ethical research practices and compliance with regulations.
