Our Threat Engineering and Development team builds technology to protect the customer and Amazons data through detection and containment before during and after attacks. As a member of our team you will work with security experts creating web and backend applications. Members of this team have a high degree of fluency in one or more languages and tools. They work with a focus on simplicity and performance. As a Software Development Engineer you will have an enormous opportunity to make a large impact on the design architecture and implementation of products used every day by people you know.

Be responsible for subsystem design/architecture and development for product initiatives and feature development.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
