Job Description
AWS is looking for a Sr. BIE to join the AWS Analytics Engineering (AAE) team. This is your opportunity to be part of a team that has direct impact on foundational cloud services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 Amazon Q Developer Serverless Databases Networking and many more !
As a Sr. BIE on this team you will be responsible for building and owning the delivery of an analytical roadmap for an AWS services you support. You will generate insights that directly drive business growth and influence feature and product enhancements. You will get to work with datasets in one of the worlds largest data warehousing environments giving you opportunity to develop and support your hypotheses with datadriven insights and influence product leadership. You will work closely with business leaders finance and technical teams to analyze many nonstandard and unique business problems creatively problemsolving to deliver actionable output. As you build your services analytical capabilities you will be redefining best practices with a cloudbased approach to scalability and automation.
Key job responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of the business drivers and data landscape for your assigned AWS services.
Deliver indepth datadriven analysis papers with actionable insights to business leaders.
Design and implement a comprehensive reporting & analytical roadmap to derive key business metrics.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify new dataset to enhance existing analytical capability.
Strong verbal and written communications to share findings with business leaders finance and technical teams to influence decisionmaking and product enhancements.
Mentor junior members to help establish new analytical standards and best practices for the team.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (Iot) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

8 years of professional or military experience
Experience programming to extract transform and clean large (multiTB) data sets
5 years of SQL experience
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval data science machine learning and data mining
Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
Masters degree in statistics data science or an equivalent quantitative field
Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R Python Ruby etc.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
Experience with AWS technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
