Job Summary/Description:
KXII News 12 is seeking a dualthreat employee to serve as morning coanchor and multimedia journalist.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coanchor 2hour weekday morning newscast
Serve as breaking news reporter during the morning shift
Report daily at the end of the AM newscast and turn a story for PM casts
Fillin anchor as needed when primary morning/midday anchor is out
Possess great live reporting skills for field anchoring and breaking news
Help post digital content (news stories interview segments social media etc.
Appear at various community events that may occur outside the normal shift
Serve as mentor and teacher to young reporters and producers
Qualifications/Requirements:
Prior anchoring and onair reporting experience preferred but not required.

The right candidate will have the ability to anchor every type of story be a strong and willing multimedia journalist help produce the morning and midday newscasts as needed write great copy edit videos and be a leader in the newsroom.
Must possess strong writing and informationgathering skills be a quick thinker ready for anything and have strong adlib abilities.
A college degree in a related field is preferred.
