Assistant Professor (tenure track) to teach undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice advise students provide service to the institution the community and/or the profession and maintain an active research agenda. The appointment will begin on August 18 2025. The successful candidate will join the Department of Justice and Community Studies (JCS) which is located at the Miamis regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown. JCS currently serves over 120 majors with five fulltime continuing faculty and several parttime visiting and affiliate faculty. JCS is committed to Miami Regionals community service mission to the teacherscholar model and to academic freedom and the truthseeking mission of the University. The typical class size is 20 30 students and JCS courses are taught both online and in facetoface formats.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in criminal justice or closely related discipline by date of appointment or a J.D. and masters degree in closely related discipline by date of appointment.
Consideration may be given to candidates who possess significant teaching experience in both facetoface and online formats and/or those with research and teaching interests that complement existing departmental strengths.
