QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education Endorsement (SA).
- Experience with Severe Multiple Impairments (SXI) preferred.
- Experience working with severely multiply/cognitively impaired students preferred.
- Two years of teaching experience including one year in Special Education preferred.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
SALARY:
Per Rochester Education Association Master Agreement

JOB DESCRIPTION
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Special Populations Diversity Equity and Inclusion
JOB GOAL: To devise and implement individualized programs for students who have special needs which prevent them from learning through traditional means.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with timelines laws and regulations that relate to district state federal policies and procedures.
- Monitor and document student progress on IEP goals.
- Collaborate with all service providers and other staff to develop instruction and support goals that are designed to meet the learning needs of students.
- Compile and submit monthly Medicaid reports.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
- Participate in building meetings as directed by the building principal.
- 200 day calendar
- Performs other duties as requested by the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
