Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a highperforming research team.
  • Drive workforce alignment and ROI analysis to optimize program offerings.
  • Utilize tools like Lightcast BLS data and IPEDS for labor market insights.
  • Provide concise highlevel reports for executive decisionmaking.
  • Guide research strategy and standardize methodologies.
  • Manage five direct reports ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance WGUs workforce impact.
  • Champion diversity and equity in workforce research.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Expertise in workforce analytics labor market research or higher ed research.
  • Proficiency in data visualization (Tableau PowerPoint) and analytics tools (SQL Python R preferred).
  • Excellent communication and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Project management skills with a focus on and impact.
  • Commitment to WGUs mission of workforcealigned education.

Education & Experience:

  • Masters in Data Science Economics Statistics Public Policy Business or related field.
  • 7 years in workforce research or analytics.
  • 3 years managing research teams.
  • Higher education government or workforce development experience preferred.
