A vibrant secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a Social Science Graduate to support students across various subjects. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates in Psychology Sociology Criminology or related fields who are considering a career in teaching educational psychology or social work. The role is a fulltime PAYE contract 96105 per day) offering handson experience and potential teacher training opportunities.
Social Science Graduate Role Overview:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will work alongside teachers to provide academic and pastoral support to students both in small groups and onetoone. You will assist with lesson planning behaviour management and promoting student engagement particularly for those with additional learning needs.
Social Science Graduate Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in Social Sciences and across the curriculum.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Provide onetoone and small group support.
- Encourage student participation and independence.
- Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies.
Social Science Graduate Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology Sociology Criminology or a related field Minimum 2:1 degree from a recognised UK University.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- A passion for education and student support.
- Previous experience working with young people (desirable).
