Oregon Teaching License required science endorsement required and preferred advanced science experience. Employer paid 6 PERS pickup. Extracurricular/coaching opportunities SUMMARY:Dayton School District is seeking a passionate and qualified Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role requires an Oregon Teaching License with an endorsement in Foundational Science or a secondary science endorsement in Biology Chemistry Integrated Science or must either hold the required license or be able to obtain it prior to the start Science Teacher will engage students in handson inquirybased learning experiences that ignite curiosity and foster a lifelong love of specific courses taught will be determined based on the teachers area of expertise and the districts to participate in extracurricular activities or athletics as a coach or advisor may also be who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Degree: BABS MA MATAbility to establish positive working relationships with students staff and to work with extracurricular activities w/ emphasis on high school and/or middle school OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide Health and Physical Education instruction aligned with the Common Core State academic and social growth of students and maintain appropriate data to plan for in curriculum and/or faculty committees as interested or collaboratively with other staff members to support student learningCommunity Description:Dayton School District is a rural district located in western Oregons scenic MidWillamette Valley between McMinnville and Newberg. The staff works with parents and other community members to provide a learning environment which leads to progress and success in all academic areas and encourages students to become wellrounded citizens. The student population of approximately 1000 is served by a grade school a grades 6 8 junior high and a high school.
