The College of Nursing and Health Science (CONHS) at Texas A&M UniversityCorpus Christi (TAMUCC) invites applications for a nontenure track Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor of Nursing Education to begin as early as Spring 2025. Rank will be determined upon qualifications. This position is a 9month appointment and will be located at the Corpus Christi campus.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The CONHS nontenuretrack faculty responsibilities include teaching service and implementation and evaluation of nursing courses and student learning primarily in the undergraduate BSN prelicensure program. Faculty are expected to model exemplar professional behavior through work with students peers and community colleagues and to provide student support to include mentoring advising recruiting and DNP student project supervision if eligible.
Faculty are also expected to participate in activities that contribute to achieving TAMUCC and CONHS organizational goals. Teaching responsibilities include working in collaboration with department chair program director and program faculty to ensure quality program curriculum and instruction in the didactic and clinical phases of the program. Duties include course management teaching skills and simulation labs student advisement and student formative and summative evaluation. Responsibilities may also include participation in clinical site visits scholarly project committee work student remediation test writing and analysis program admissions accreditation processes and program assessment to include serving on inperson faculty meetings and committees essential to the Nursing Education Department and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs college and universitys functioning.

QUALIFICATIONS
Assistant Rank:
Masters in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
Current unencumbered RN License in the State of Texas or eligible for licensure in Texas at time of hire.
Associate Rank:
Earned doctorate in nursing (PhD DNP) or related field (e.g. EdD). Advanced ABD will be considered; degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.
A minimum of five 5 years of experience at the Assistant Clinical Professor or comparable rank is required.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
Current unencumbered RN License in the State of Texas or eligible for licensure in Texas at time of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1 2 of academic teaching experience
Experience with classroom/didactic course teaching.
Knowledge of curriculum and curriculum development.
Experience in program management including curriculum refinement and student progress.
Experience with webbased course delivery including online course development online teaching and application of best practices in online education.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with community practice partners.
Current board certification as an FNP from AANP or ANCC
