New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) seeks a Postdoctoral Teaching and Reseach Fellow for the Department of Anatomy.
This is a 3year position in the Anatomy Department at NYITCOM.
Appointment to this position includes $3000 per year to support research activities.

The successful applicant will teach cadaverbased human anatomy labs to medical students as well as engage in anatomical research. It is expected that equal effort will be devoted to teaching and research. The successful applicant is also expected to develop independent research projects mentor osteopathic medical students on some of these projects and apply for necessary funding.
The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
Although the research area is not specified applicants with a research focus that complements and/or supports ongoing research of anatomy faculty are preferred

NYITCOMs Anatomy Department includes 9 fulltime faculty with active research programs in biomechanics evolution and development and neurosensory anatomy. The successful applicant will have access to stateoftheart research facilities including: a visualization center equipped with microCT scanner and Amira workstations; a fresh tissue laboratory for histology and staining; an embryology laboratory for in vivo experiments; a microscopy facility with confocalmicroscopes; both human and animal gait labs for collecting kinematic kinetic energetic and EMG data; a fully staffed animal care facility and the Center for Biomedical Innovation for robotics VR AR and 3D printing. NYITCOM enjoys close proximity to major research institutions such as the American Museum of Natural History and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
