About the Opportunity

The Marketing Group of the DAmoreMcKim School of Business at Northeastern University invites applications for an open nontenure track faculty position in the area of Brand Management Platform Economy Consumer Engagement Technologies and Data and AI Technology to be located at the Oakland campus of the university with employment beginning in August 2025. This is a fulltime benefitseligible positions that may be on the Lecturer or Teaching Professor track depending on qualifications and interest. Lecturers are responsible primarily for teaching and some service while Teaching Professors also have research expectations.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels in brand management platform economies consumer engagement technologies and data and AI technologies and/or related subjects; participate in service to the Marketing Group DAmoreMcKim School of Business Northeastern University and the discipline; and develop an appropriate independent research program necessary to a

The successful candidate will teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels in brand management platform economies consumer engagement technologies and data and AI technologies and/or related subjects; participate in service to the Marketing Group DAmoreMcKim School of Business Northeastern University and the discipline; and develop an appropriate independent research program necessary to achieve and maintain AACSB qualification as a Scholarly Academic.

The major responsibilities for a Teaching Professor are:

  • teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs 60
  • research to maintain scholarly academic status 20
  • services to the Marketing Group DMSB and the University 20

The major responsibilities for a Lecturer are:

  • teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs 90
  • services to the Marketing Group DMSB and the University 10

Qualifications:

Candidates for a Lecturer must have a Masters degree and candidates for a Teaching Professor must have a doctorate degree in Marketing or a closely related field by the appointment start date. Candidates for appointment at ranks above the entrylevel must have at least 4 years of college teaching and/or professional experience. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching and research and fostering an environment of belonging for our student population.

With the pay range(s) shown above the starting salary will depend on several factors which may include your education experience location knowledge and expertise and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarlysituated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
