Job Summary

The primary responsibilities for this role include implementing Hills Retail Environment & Prescription Diet brand (as well as Hills Master brand) strategies to grow market share and brand recommendation within the total customer ecosystem. This will be achieved through the Business Account Manager (BAM) developing and executing customer specific 6PA plans to achieve Hills commercial goals of net sales share and margin while operating within spending guidelines. BAMs at this level focus on a larger and a more sophisticated customer based on higher net sales demand for increased new shoppers / pet parents larger geographical footprint stronger marketplace influence higher customer sophistication and other customer complexities. Strong leadership is needed to engage customers at the highest level with strategic plans.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Taking an active role with the crossfunctional customer table team on all of the below key areas:
  • Drives online purchase and dedication by creating and supervising the 6PA plans versus goal for key Hills customers at varying levels of revenue and complexity
  • Develops and maintains process/plan to analyze the customers business. Evaluates business trends shopper insights and findings from post analysis of executed activities which utilizes customer consumption and other available data
  • Executes customer meetings to influence support of Hills GotoMarket plans within and above the customer meeting cadence (to include business reviews and monthly / quarterly meetings and joint business planning)
  • Takes a holistic view of the business through consideration of channel impact and conflict
  • Builds and executes annual strategic plans and initiatives to achieve the commercial goals while engaging in the customers category growth expectations
  • Customizes specific shopper programs with Hills shopper marketing using Hills brand strategies to drive incremental retail sales
  • Execute sales plans and resolve issues through both the customer and internal commercial teams including Marketing Supply Chain and Store Operations.
  • Builds and maintains Colgate Business Planner to reflect baseline sales and promotion plans. Manage customer payments
  • Develops category and brand solutions for the customer that will drive the Hills business.
  • Collaborates with Hills BDM & Retail Marketing team to execute the Hills retail environment and brand strategy within investment guidelines
  • Drives forward actions in monthly customer planning meetings to review actuals plus plantogo with manager BDM & Finance

Education/ Experience Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or higher
  • Minimum of 7 years of commercial experience in consumer packaged goods or related industry (Including combination of progressive roles of field sales corporate sales marketing finance and/or customer service)
  • Proficient digital literacy in Google Suite (Docs Slides Sheets etc) and/or MS Excel Word etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience leading key accounts/headquarter accounts
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in ecommerce customer management and/or digital marketing
