Job Overview

Be the center of product innovation and design at TMobile. As a critical leader on the Product Experience Design & Innovation team the Product Principal Designer will lead the reimagination and redesign of our Assisted digital products across the enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding usercentered design activities and establishing user experience strategy working closely with Business and Product key leaders to create innovative meaningful solutions to delight TMobile employees servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Strategy

Drive the UX Roadmap and strategy framework through partnership with key leaders and other Principal Designers to ensure cohesive product experience across lines of businesses (LOBs).

Act as an evangelist for design thinking partnering with key leaders to demonstrate how design empowers the creation of better digital products.

Lead a design and user experience team in the creation of enterprise applications design frameworks visual libraries and scalable interface assets.

Implement ethical accessible and dynamic features and capabilities such as AIdriven task recommendations and digital checkin tools to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.

Collaborate with Engineering key leaders to understand and identify tech possibilities and constraints on LOB and company.

Partner with Engineering key leaders to create new opportunities to develop tech capability that can enhance customer experience on LOB/enterprise level.

User Experience

Provide constructive feedback on peer user experience design reviews thats focused on the big picture and future enterprise vision.

Create highlevel UX assets (workflow customer journey map prototype etc..

Collaborates with User Researchers and other Principal designers to maintain consistency across the digital ecosystem and organization.

Demonstrates ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.

Analyze research data findings to well understand customer pain points identify business opportunities and create a compelling story to drive customercentric design solutions

Influence LOB/enterprise key leadership team by providing design recommendations backed with sound design reasons and solid customercentric data.

Relationship Management

Guide mentor and inspire other designers in the team keeping up with the design industry evolution including best practices new trends and technologies.

Provide feedback and direction to ensure intuitive and innovative solutions and drive consistency following established design principles guidelines and patterns.

Collaborate internally and externally to continuously evolve team processes and design practice.

Create an environment that fosters internal and cross team collaboration.

Qualifications

Degree in humancentered design computer science research psychology or related work experience

710 years of experience of user experience digital strategy or product management

2 years experience working with Figma

Proficiency in UI design principles and best practices

Demonstrates ability to lead highly technical highly complex projects with crossfunctional teams of strategists designers and engineers in a fastpaced environment.

Willingness to roll up the sleeves and lead by example when required

Outstanding interpersonal communication presentation data analysis and storytelling skills

Excellent collaborator

Demonstrates a high level of executive accountability initiative flexibility and the ability to prioritize resource workload to efficiently deliver results.

Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment

Exceptional portfolio of work spanning multiple design projects

At least 18 years of age

Base Pay Range: $115400 $208100

Corporate Bonus Target: 20

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At TMobile employees in regular nontemporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a yearend bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
