Are you detailoriented and passionate about records management Texas A&M University is hiring a University Records Manager.
In this role you will develop and implement policies and procedures for Texas A&M Universitys records management program ensuring compliance with Texas A&M University System policies and the Texas Government Code. You will design and lead a comprehensive records management training program to support university personnel in effectively managing records throughout their lifecycle. Collaborating with administrative and academic offices you will oversee proper records scheduling conduct records surveys and monitor compliance. Additionally you will lead and support records management efforts across all campuses building relationships to promote best practices and enhance universitywide awareness of proper records handling retention and disposition for both electronic and paper records. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing guidance on records administration creation and maintenance across all formats while ensuring adherence to university policies and federal and state laws.

This position is located on our College Station TX campus. The selected candidate will be expected to work inperson.
Opportunities to Contribute
Manage the Texas A&M University Records Management Program and the University Records Center.
Develop update implement and monitor procedures to ensure the records management program runs smoothly providing secure and easy access to records.
Work with Records Analysts to analyze and research records with university departments.
Develop and monitor auditing processes to ensure universitywide compliance with records management procedures.
Coordinate with University Archives staff to transfer permanent records to the archives.
Maintain an effective and adaptive training program for university personnel.
Create and share records management guidelines and training materials.
Answer records management reference requests
In partnership with system and campus unitssuch as Texas A&M University System Records Management Officer (RMO) System Legal Counsel and other TAMU System agenciesassist in the development of policies and procedures related to records management.
Builds and maintains relationships with campus partners to ensure proper records scheduling.
Engages in professional development and scholarly activities to bring new ideas and technologies to the program.
Qualifications
Masters degree in library science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of academic library functions.
Ability to work in a climatecontrolled environment.
A wellqualified candidate will also possess:
Three years of experience in managing records for state agencies local governments institutions or corporations.
Experience leading workshops and training programs on records management.
Experience managing records at a university or college setting.
Experience with electronic records systems like Microsoft SharePoint Microsoft 365 and Laserfiche.
Certification as an ICRMs Certified Records Manager (CRM) or Certified Records Analyst (CRA) or Information Governance Professional (IGP).
Knowledge of current trends and legal requirements for records management and handling inactive records.
Understanding of laws and ethics related to public records management.
Proven skill at collaborating in a team environment and working independently.
Ability to explain complex records management issues to different groups within the organization.
Ability to develop and deliver useroriented services to stakeholders.
Familiarity with issues involving information security.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment take initiative and make independent decisions.
Salary: $62900.00 with an additional $3000.000 stipend for professional development. Hours: Must be able to work 8:00am 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
