Located on a beautiful 10acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale Devereux Arizonas 24hour Residential Treatment Center (RTC) has the capacity to serve 52 children. The RTC is a safe supportive environment that provides various services to youth from the ages of 5 to 17 who are experiencing emotional behavioral or substance abuse challenges. The Campus features dormitories a therapeutic K12 day school food services medical/nursing and therapy services.
Reporting to the Clinical Program Manager the Recreation Assistant plans and implements structured activities for the RTC. This position will perform a variety of programming technical and clerical functions related to recreation. Job duties include working with clients staff and volunteers monitoring daytoday operation of groups and facilities and performing clerical duties such documentation filing and inventory.
Pay Range: $18 $19.80 / hr
Schedule: Wednesday Saturday 8:00am 6:00pm

Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of six 6 months experience in recreational activities
- Previous experience in a behavioral healthcare setting with children/adolescents required
OTHER:
- Must be available to attend 2 weeks of required orientation training (paid MonFri 8:30am5pm) plus additional 23 weeks on the job training
- Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
- Preemployment Physical and Job Demand Assessment
- Valid Arizona Drivers License & pass DMV 36month history check
- Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions). Arizona Revised Statues Notice (ARS 36411 Residential care institutions; nursing care institutions; home health agencies; fingerprinting requirements; exemptions; definitions). If a persons employment record contains a sixmonth or longer time frame during which the person was not employed by any employer a completed application with a new set of fingerprints shall be submitted to the department of public safety.
