Job Description
The Rural & Super Rural (RSR) Design Engineering team is searching for an innovative solutionsoriented design engineer to spearhead new initiatives and develop the next generation of worldclass industrial building designs. Utilize your analytical and systems design expertise to leverage automated material handling equipment packaging technologies and robotics.
We seek resourceful engineers who are critical thinkers and excel in crossfunctional collaboration. In this role you will work closely with internal and external teams to design highquality costeffective solutions for our delivery stations. Your projects will be a variety of delivery station concepts and templatebased design solutions that will enhance the effectiveness of Amazons last mile network. You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fastpaced and often ambiguous environment.
Ability to travel 25 to interact with internal and external business operational and technical leaders.
Key job responsibilities
Lead and coordinate design efforts to develop optimal delivery station design solutions for the last mile network through equipment specification material flow process design and site layout.
Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors and stakeholders to generate highquality costeffective solutions in very short periods of time.
Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing negotiating and communicating with internal and external business partners contractors and vendors.
Provide design support for largescale engineering projects retrofits and building designs
Effective communication skills ability to execute the vision detailed roadmap and specific technical solutions to make a compelling business case with senior executives.

RSR DE and AMZL Speed team 1 provides design support to RSR network 2 Focus on process and capacity improvement 3 Lead AMZL Speed program with the expansion plan and process improvements.
Bachelors degree in computer science engineering mathematics or equivalent
Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or nonautomated material handling equipment
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD REVIT BIM 360 etc.
8 years Experience with automated material handling equipment packaging technologies and systems including robotics and highspeed manufacturing.
8 years Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
8 years Experience in Capital project management
8 years Experience with concepts like system architecture optimization system dynamics system analysis statistical analysis reliability analysis and decision making.
8 years Experience with ownership/management of engineering design projects
Masters degree in engineering mechanical operations supply chain business administration or equivalent STEM field
Experience in Lean Management Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
