Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
ENVIRONMENT:
Our Client is a global leader in defense and security solutions. They are currently seeking an Electronic Development Engineer to join their technical team in the design development assembly testing and verification of hardware products. This role encompasses various engineering disciplines including Radio Frequency (RF) and Antennas Digital Electronics Firmware and Embedded Software MixedSignal Design (including Power Supply) and Signal Processing Software. This position offers opportunities for personal and professional growth with the potential to take on design authority in a specialized engineering discipline or progress into a Product Owner/Manager role for a specific product line.
DUTIES:
Product Roadmap & Innovation
- Provide insights on the latest engineering technology trends to inform product development.
- Define detailed modulelevel requirements within product specifications.
Product Development &
- Lead research design and development in line with the companys product development process.
- Execute functional design schematic design PCB layout reviews and firmware development.
- Oversee mechanical design RF/Analog & Antenna design and power supply integration.
- Ensure compliance through functional qualification testing.
Industrialization & Qualification
- Support smooth handover to production with baseline documentation and training.
- Develop testing jigs and software for product verification.
- Ensure reliability and maintainability through rigorous testing and qualification processes.
Product Documentation & Process Management
- Define and track product requirements using requirements management tools.
- Establish and maintain product baselines and technical documentation.
- Address obsolescence and propose component replacements.
Financial & Client Management
- Contribute to budget planning and product cost calculations.
- Provide productrelated support demonstrations training and troubleshooting.
Supplier & Vendor Coordination
- Assist in supplier evaluation and resolution of technical issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum B. Eng Electronic Engineering or similar qualification.
- Applicable development experience.
- Product Development Process knowledge and application.
- Detail design .
- Applied knowledge in the applicable Engineering Discipline (example RF Antennas Digital design Mixed signal etc...
- Knowledge of applicable design tools and calculations (example: EM transmissions Firmware and Embedded SW design Signal processing etc...
