EMPLOYMENT TERMS: One term adjunct position renewable as needed
PRIMARY DUTY:The Department of Fine and Performing Arts is seeking applicants who can teach strings methods as part of a Bachelor of Music Education/instrumental degree.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE COURSES:
Education: Earned Masters degree in music with at least 18 hours of preparation appropriate to the area of applied lessons.
Certification/License: Drivers license
Experience: Evidence of successful music instruction with strings
Skills: Skills and experience in the appropriate discipline of instrumental music
WORKING CONDITIONS:This position will provide applied lessons in the studios on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville Missouri. The instructor will teach in an academic environment with collaborative teambased faculty and have access to webbased platforms for providing any digital content necessary along with Northwest email.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to complete essential classroom/applied studio functions and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
