Job Description
STV Inc. is seeking a Parttime highly motivated Senior Bridge Engineer Business Developer who wants to be a part our dynamic Pittsburgh Transportation joining our team you will be able to leverage your career experiences and expertise in project management and business development and contribute to the growth of the structural group. You would be expected to perform a mix of duties ranging from design project and team management and marketing activities.
What you will do:
- Manages structural aspects of projects and/or multidisciplinary projects.
- Actively participates and leads business development by delivering quality work providing excellent client service and assisting in preparing proposals on various pursuits
- Takes active mentoring role; encourages motivates and develops staff for high performance.
- Design & analysis of new and existing bridges retaining walls culverts sign structures and other structures related to the transportation industry
- Bridge rehabilitation design
- Bridge load ratings
- Construction document production including drawings specifications and cost estimates
- Perform constructability reviews
- Review of shop drawings and providing response to contractors request for information
- Providing quality check of engineers computations designs or inspection reports
- Prepare Quality Control Documentation
- Assist in proposal development
- Mentor the design team
- Develop Design pursuit structural packages
- Prepare construction engineering on Design projects
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters Degree preferred)
- Demonstrated skill at project management/business development.
- Ability to lead engineering on bridge and infrastructure projects and are able to play a key role in project delivery from inception to construction with proven ability to work with clients.
- Ability to use structural analysis and design software such as Midas LARS MDX VBent CSi Bridge Leap Bridge STAAD AASHTOWARE PennDOT Programs
- Proficiency in the use of MicroStation (preferred) and/or AutoCAD
- Minimum 15 years experience in the structural design and management of bridges and infrastructure projects.
- Detailed understanding of structural analysis and design of steel concrete prestressed concrete and timber structures related to transportation.
- PA PE License required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with MS Excel Word and Mathcad
- Flexible and adapts well to work sharing opportunities on projects throughout PA and other states
- Current drivers license and safe driving record
Compensation Range:
