Job Description
Job Title: Senior Software Developer
Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad / Chennai
Experience: 610 Years
Notice Period: 030 days
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with security and control and change control processes
- Crafting developing and upholding Mainframe COBOL and IMS code to fulfill support and/or project requirements
- Collaborating with business and IT teams to comprehend business requirements and transforming them into formal technical requirements and application code
- Coordinating with IT support teams (DBA server teams) to ensure successful development and implementation of support and project requirements
- Formulating and executing unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications
- Assuming responsibility for a critical segment of the full System Development Life Cycle
- Executing acceptance testing and participating in integration testing with the business team
- Engaging in production support/ duty rotation including weekend and offhour support coverage
- Providing Solution Delivery Methodology artifacts associated with application components
- Participating in technical reviews at appropriate stages of development
Technical Stack:
- COBOL
- DB2
- JCL
- IT technical background & mainframe programming experience
- Proficiency in all components of software delivery with emphasis on requirements design and development
- Quick starter to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Prioritize Business Impact and Urgency
- Perform application support tasks like: systems support security reviews & maintenance tasks
- Testing experience
- Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies quickly
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience as a Senior Developer or similar role
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
- Problemsolving aptitude
