Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $29.68 $45.13. In addition this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors including but not limited to: scope of role level of experience education accomplishments internal equity budget and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

Overview:

Hospital for Special Surgery #1 in Orthopedics for the last 13 years and is currently looking for an experienced and energetic full time Administrative Coordinator for one of our physician offices. Dr. Duretti Fufa is a boardcertified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand surgery with additional expertise in reconstruction and microsurgery.

The Administrative Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to Dr. Duretti Fufa MD in her capacity with the residency program. In this role you must exhibit the ability totranscribe material of a highly confidential nature as well as compose letters and initiate correspondence for review by Executives. You will be responsible for arranging appointments and meetings coordinating related materials and agenda items making travel lodging and conference arrangements and routing incoming mail and correspondences appropriately. Additionally you will promote a professional atmosphere through courteous communication cooperation and respect for patients visitors your colleagues and members of the health care team.

  • Administrative responsibilities may include the following:
    • Screening calls and emails and helping to address questions and concerns sometimes of a complicated and sensitive nature.
    • Administrative calendar management scheduling meetings and organizing travel for invited speaking engagements.
    • Prepare confidential and sensitive documents
    • Draft correspondence and other written material/communication as requested
    • Effectively communicate with various departments and disseminate information as requested.
    • Collaborate and work with Physicians clinical office staff to ensure schedule alignment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously often under a deadline and in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Present and maintain courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate with senior level administrators.
  • Ability to independently resolve issues and handle unexpected challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills; Knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint Outlook and other office automation tools and systems.
  • Ability to adjust to changing situations work assignments and work schedule
