Job Description
Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Location: Brooklyn Center MN
Salary: $22.23 $27.37/hour (based on years of experience)
Shift: Days 7:30 AM 4:00 PM 80 hours per 2week pay period
Job Description:
A Certified Medical Assistant is needed for a clinicbased fulltime role in Brooklyn Center MN. This role supports providers in delivering patientcentered care across all age groups. The Medical Assistant manages patient flow performs clinical duties and maintains smooth communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Room patients and assist with patient flow
- Administer immunizations injections and medications per provider orders
- Perform lab specimen collection
- Depending on clinic may also:
- Provide telephone support and prescription refill assistance
- Assist with xray duties (if certified)
- Perform phlebotomy and inclinic lab testing
Clinic Support:
- Front desk and checkin assistance
- Supply ordering and inventory stocking
- Assist with insurance prior authorizations
Compliance & Team Collaboration:
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
- Follow state board regulations and medical practice standards
- Communicate effectively with physicians RNs clinic supervisors and patients
- Engage in skill improvement continuing education and organizational initiatives
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency within scope of Medical Assistant practice
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- BLS certification may be required depending on clinic protocols
