WWST is looking for a Manager of Software Development who will help drive the strategy and technical architecture for complex projects. In this role you will work with program owners product leaders technical partners both in sustainability and software to develop and launch solutions that solve problems of incredible scale and impact.
Your ability to communicate and influence others will be a key to success. You are a resultsoriented customerfocused product manager who gets excited about diving deep running hard and delivering a big impact.

Architect design and develop a new service that both gets us quickly to launch and supports a scalable longerterm vision to delight our customers
Manage a high performing team
Manage overall software development lifecycle Create prioritize communicate manage and execute roadmaps project plans and commitments
Report on status of development quality operations and system performance to management
Foster culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring feedback and metrics
Hire coach and mentor individuals; build a strong crossfunctional organization Own all operational metrics and support

7 years of engineering experience
8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
