Job Description

TAG Program Activity Facilitator (up to 17 positions available) Positions at all 4 schools

The staff selected to fill these positions will work under the direction of the district TAG Program Coordinator and are responsible for facilitation of the assigned grant funded TAG Program enrichment activities according to grant specifications; in addition to keeping accurate records related to program activities participation purchasing and program evaluation.

Activities may take place during or outside of school hours up to the maximum number of hours allocated. Specific schedules will be developed in collaboration with the TAG Program Coordinator and Building Leadership. Hours including those designated as prep time will not exceed the maximum of 50 hours per activity below.

Junction City High School:OBOB

Oaklea Middle School Programs:5th Grade O.B.O.B. 6th8th Grade O.B.O.B. Busy Hands National Art Society Green Team

Territorial Elementary School Programs:Lego League Jr. O.B.O.B. Green Team Do You Hear What I Hear (Music) LIT (Librarians in Training) YeartoYear (Yearbook)

Laurel Elementary School Programs:Busy Hands OBOB Green Team Lego League Jr Do You Hear What I Hear (music group)

These positions are grant funded and temporary for theschool year only.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  1. Demonstrated success working with and supporting gifted and highend learners;
  2. Recent experience working with elementary age students in an instructional setting;
  3. Effective use of Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) systems for behavior management;
  4. Knowledge of varied instructional strategies as well as state standards and district curriculum;
  5. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively and collaboratively with colleagues support staff administrators students parents and patrons;
  6. Responsibility to know understand and adhere to District policy;
  7. Possession of or ability to obtain a current first aid/CPR card;
  8. Familiarity with grant requirements.
