Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of an ARC Support Worker on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 13.47 17.64 per Hour

Summary:

Cardiff Council and the Vale of Glamorgan Council are proud to be working in partnership to deliver an innovative Adolescent Resource Centre (ARC) / Edge of Care Service for young people aged 1117. This regional service is designed to help young people remain in their family homes by strengthening relationships offering early intervention and delivering familyfocused evidencebased support.

As a Support Worker youll be part of a flexible and responsive team delivering practical and therapeutic support to young people and families across Cardiff and the Vale. Your work will be key to enabling positive change and reducing the risk of family breakdown.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidencebased interventions to support families in building resilience and improving relationships.
  • Work directly with young people and families in their homes and at designated centres.
  • Provide rapid responsive support to families in crisis helping prevent escalation to statutory services.
  • Support adolescents who may present with challenging behaviour offering guidance and structured problemsolving.
  • Collaborate closely with social workers carers and multiagency professionals to coordinate familyfocused care plans.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working with adolescents who display challenging behaviour.
  • Experience providing familyfocused support or working with carers in a professional capacity.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fastpaced flexible environment.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
