What Youll Be Doing:

  • Sterilizing Medical Instruments: Safely and effectively clean disinfect decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.

  • Preparing for Procedures: Assemble and package supplies for surgeries ensuring everything is ready and sterile for use.

  • Monitoring Processes: Document sterilization processes to ensure compliance with infection control standards.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the surgical team to ensure that instruments are available and ready for use when needed.

  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in ongoing learning and process improvements to enhance our departments operations.

  • Preferred Experience: While we are happy to train the right candidate experience in sterilization or roles like dental assisting veterinary technology or other related fields is a plus.

Certification:

  • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification is within 2 years of hire.
