GEs Power Conversion & Storage business part of GE Vernova provides electrification systems that are critical to customers power and energy needs for their highperformance applications. We work with some of the worlds major energy maritime and industrial organizations helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization including through our specialist motors drives and control technologies.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and conscientious HR professional to join our team within and engineering and manufacturing environment.

This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the HR Director this role forms a critical part of a busy team operating in a matrix organisation. This role will be partnered to our manufacturing and marine team in a fast paced customer orientated environment.

  • Partnering with functions managers supervisors and employees and building successful relationships.

  • Coach and advise managers of a full range of HR matters.

  • Provide effective resourcing and recruitment solutions in partnership with the talent team and hiring managers.

  • Supporting complex employee relations including absence disciplinary and grievance matters.

  • Assist in the collation of data and metrics to drive key business decisions.

We are looking for an HR professional with:

  • A good knowledge of HR best practices and UK employment law and experience in HR preferably in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment;

  • CIPD certification Bachelors Degree in HR or equivalent qualification is desirable;

  • Experience with HRIS managing the employee life cycle and excellent analytical and decisionmaking abilities;

  • Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate effectively across locations and levels;

  • A passion for elevating the employee experience and business performance;

  • Excellent coaching skills to help support managers and employees;

  • Highly organised to deliver scalable processes;

  • Works with a lean mindset to create a better way of work challenging the existing processes

  • Works with a focus on SQDC (Safety Quality Delivery Cost)
