SUMMARY: The Elementary Mathematics Coach collaborates with teachers to provide instructional support and pedagogical content knowledge for mathematics teaching and learning suing the Massachusetts Frameworks and the NCTM Teaching Practices. In addition coaches plan and facilitate district wide workshops and prepare curriculum materials and assessments.

EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To):
District and school responsibilities:
DESE Licensure for Elementary math;
Develop curriculum instruction intervention and assessments;
Plan and facilitate district professional development in collaboration with other coaches/specialists;
Coach teachers on the implementation of district curriculum focusing on new teachers and teachers new to a grade level;
Participate in gradelevel PLCs regularly. PLCs look at student work together for a variety of purposes: norming student work differentiating Tier I instruction and determining Tier 2 Interventions;
Facilitate the administration recording and analysis of universal assessments
Collaborate with teachers in developing goals for individual students and groups of students through intervention and progress monitoring;
Provide training and support for teachers and teaching assistants in the ELL and Special Education Departments in assessment instruction and intervention;
Consistent reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students
Responsible for implementing other jobrelated duties as needed
