About the role
We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join the Elders team on a permanent fulltime basis.
As a Senior Tax Accountant at Elders you will play a key role in supporting the team with a wide range of tax compliance responsibilities including GST FBT income tax international tax and statutory reporting. This position offers the chance to collaborate with diverse stakeholders while providing the platform and resources to enhance your expertise and advance your career to the next level. Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly BAS/IAS and Fringe Benefits Tax returns and income tax returns for the group.
- Respond to queries on FBT GST and income tax issues as required.
- Conduct relevant analyses for tax and activity statement submissions.
- Assist in the preparation of halfyear and yearend statutory tax reporting.
- Ensure effective risk management compliance and reporting practices to meet statutory requirements.
About you
- Degree qualified with 5 years experience in a similar role
- Specialise in GST and FBT compliance with strong expertise while also applying knowledge of income tax and tax reporting.
- Hold or working towards a professional accounting qualification CA or CPA
- Work experience in a corporate big four or similar would be an advantage
- Sound knowledge of Australian taxation law
- Proficiency in CCH Integrator would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent planning and problemsolving skills
