The role
As a Principal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Engineer youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Daytoday youll be responsible for leading in the and delivery of complex FE analysisbased tasks using their deep technical knowledge to support product development throughout the design lifecycle.
- Provide technical support to our key customers ensuring efficient and effective delivery of engineering outputs.
- Analysis will be predominately using ANSYS for the analysis of linear and nonlinear static and dynamic structural thermodynamic in time and frequency domains and multiphysics environment performing analytical studies for analysing the mechanism of kinematics dynamics and force analysis.
- Implementing robust verification and validation processes for stress analysis and experience in training and development of engineers in the field of stress analysis.
- Generating appropriate analytical methodologies for the optimization of stress analysis studies and produce appropriately justified technical solutions interpreting and converting analysis results into practical design outputs.
This role is full time 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Principal FEA Engineer
- Previous defence or marine experience is not a requirement.
- The role requires deep professional expertise knowledge and experience in FEA.
- You should have experience in the use and application of ANSYS
Qualifications for the Principal FEA Engineer
- Degree qualified in an engineering discipline with extensive experience in relevant field (or BTEC equivalent qualification in relevant engineering discipline with significant demonstrable experience) and have substantial demonstrable post degree experience.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
