With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp nextgeneration devices to volume production quickly and costeffectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design KLAs Global Products Group (GPG) which is responsible for creating all of KLAs metrology and inspection products is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist software engineers application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers. First to deliver the best imaging and classification data for every defect or point on any layer at any time. EBeams mission encapsulates its role as the eyes of KLAs product line providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Join our innovative team at KLA where we are at the forefront of developing nextgeneration EBEAM tools! We are looking for a dedicated Optomechanical Design Engineer with a background in Electron Optics to help us craft build and debug groundbreaking prototypes that meet the highest standards of precision and reliability. Engage in the development of electron optics systems/subsystems by doing optomechanical design and building and debugging of prototypes. Apply CAD systems to build detailed drawings for all mechanical components. You will procure build assemble and debug to ensure the design requirements are met.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with suppliers worldwide to develop sophisticated reliable solution for next generation ebeam tools.
- Understand and drive system and subsystem requirement specifications.
- Lead concept and detailed designs including design reviews.
- Guide material and component selection for optical and optomechanical systems precision drives and actuators and high vacuum systems
- Propose feasibility studies and proof of concepts.
- Drive the definition of test criteria and build test plans for functional prototypes.
- Guide the release process according to KLAs standard processes.
- Work with multifunctional groups and lead systemlevel discussions including impact on overall system performance.
- Lead problem solving activities at subsystem and system levels.
Minimum Qualifications
Educational Background:Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience:Validated experience working with electron optics high vacuum system design precision mechanisms or precision mounting of optical components high voltage and EBeam/Ion Beam/Charged Particle Beam.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency with mechanical design tools such as SolidWorks ProE or AutoCAD. Proficiency with Mechanica Ansys. etc
