You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a member of the EHS Team the EHS Specialist will provide expertise structure and support to Lear Corporation by driving EHS excellence through various means. This includes effectively coordinating EHS activities providing technical and logistical support and ensuring the maintenance and continual improvement of the EHS Management Systems (EHSMS) and new projects.
The role also involves EHS reporting requirements refresher training and EHS program awareness for relevant employees. Additional responsibilities include updating safety data sheets hazard identification risk assessment risk control safety audits incident investigation ISOcertification and managing change documentation. The EHS Specialist will engage with the production team through EHS Lean tools such as:
Leadership Safety Tours
8Ds
Risk Assessments
Ergonomic Assessments
Updating safety alerts and boards
Attending morning routine meetings
Contained hazards
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enforce HSE policies.
Assess workplace risks and implement safety measures.
Provide HSE training and ongoing support.
Monitor HSE performance and compliance.
Manage waste disposal and environmental protection.
Coordinate emergency response plans.
Work towards achieving EHS targets set annually.
Support accident and nearmiss investigations 8Ds) ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Lead the Ergonomic Team and complete assessments using ergonomic software.
Ensure compliance with EHS legal requirements.
Requirements
Degree in HR Business or a related field.
2 years of HSE experience.
Strong knowledge of safety and environmental laws.
ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 internal auditor certification.
