You will maintain an indepth knowledge of all pharmacy operations and provide operational strategies for continuous improvement. Lead the regulatory compliance of the pharmacy per applicable State Board guidelines Serve as one of the designated person (s) per USP 795 and USP 797 Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations that govern pharmacy operations including licensure accreditation and medication safety standards. Practice all state and federal pharmacy regulations for the handling and management of prescriptions and prescription drug products Working with the Quality team to develop internal regulatory compliance audits and strategies for staff to maintain the highest quality standards. Lead any inspections by the local Board of Pharmacy or any other regulatory body. Monitor and approve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices for every pharmacy operation and process within the building. Partner directly with the Quality Director Head Compounding and Head Operations Pharmacists to govern and ensure QA and Compliance directives are carried out and implemented Work with Operations and Quality to ensure the pharmacy follows USP 795 797 and 800 standards and maintains required SOPs per the standards. Maintain and promote all security and privacy rules regarding the use and handling of protected health information (PHI) in compliance with federal and state HIPAA regulations Coordinate with Licensing Manager to ensure all licenses and certifications are kept up to date Partner with the Quality Director Head Compounding Pharmacist Head Operations Pharmacist and General Manager to resolve or prevent any compliance SOP or regulatoryrelated issues. Develop and implement strategic plans for the site to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Collaborate with company healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy outcomes and promote evidencebased practice. In conjunction with the Quality team ensure that quality assurance programs to monitor medication dispensing accuracy medication use evaluations and adverse drug event reporting are appropriately managed and run. Work within the new product development process to provide pharmacy feedback in areas relevant for new product launches. Lead oneonones and pharmacy team huddles with pharmacy leaders and core pharmacy staff members to maintain a close relationship and promote a safe and effective pharmacy workplace Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork professionalism and continuous improvement. Bachelors degree in Pharmacy (Doctorate preferred) 8 years experience as a pharmacist 5 or more as a PIC or pharmacy manager Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws rules and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy Active Pharmacist License in pharmacy home state unencumbered by pending or previous discipline or willing to obtain licensure in pharmacy home state Licensed or working to be licensed as a pharmacist in all non resident states that require it Ability to work flexible shift times Proficiency in English verbal and written Proficiency in Windows based computer systems Ability to deliver and receive feedback and information effectively to individuals and groups Willingness to work in a team environment and promote company culture Registered and/or Licensed in AZ MD VA WV LA AL MI MS TX OR KS OK TN AR KY AR AK OH Regulatory compliance or pharmacy audit experience Knowledge of principles theories and laws policies and procedures that pertain to compounding specifically USP <795> <800> other USP general chapters and pertinent FDA guidance documents Mail Service/Mail Order Pharmacy Experience Experience with scheduling and project management Competitive salary & equity compensation for fulltime roles Unlimited PTO company holidays and quarterly mental health days Comprehensive health benefits including medical dental & vision and parental leave Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) 401k benefits with employer matching contribution Offsite team retreats Conditions of Employment: This position will require working with Hazardous (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these . These items would include gloves respiratory protection gown and other items as required. This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators including N95 full face respirator SCBA or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR). Physical exertion required. Including but not limited to walking up to 50 of the time standing up to 100 of the time squatting and bending up to 20 of the time and lifting up to 80 of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
