Josiah Bartlett Elementary School Job Description
POSITION TITLE:Paraprofessional 60
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years postsecondary study or Associates Degree
- NH Paraeducator Credential and/or Bachelors Degree preferred
REPORTS TO:Principal
PURPOSE:To enhance student achievement by supporting academic social and emotional growth of children and by supporting overall operations of the school organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide for the overall safety and wellbeing of students as a caring adult who supports a positive school environment.
- Support the success of individuals and students groups in the learning of academic social and emotional knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with special educators and classroom teachers to provide instructional supports and accommodationsin academic and other school settings.
- Assist with recordkeeping data collection and specific tasks related to IEPs 504s behavior plans as well as with tasks related to general school operations.
- Provide supervision of students during lunch recess teacher meetings team planning and other times as needed.
- Maintain professionalism ethical behavior and confidentiality regarding sensitive student and school information.
- Follow state regulations district policies and school procedures and expectations.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the principal or designated supervisor.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND EVALUATION:Compensation work day evaluation and other terms of employment are in accordance with Bartlett NonContracted Employee Policy.
