Reports To: Building Principal
Position Purpose:
The Early Childhood teacher creates and maintains a program that focuses on the physical social and emotional development of each child. This includes developmentallyappropriate student learning activities in the areas of cognition creative expression communication social physical and emotional developmentwhichmeet the unique needs of each child with regard to his/her level of comprehension and maturation.
Preferred Qualifications: Current certification as a teacher and endorsement in the area of Early Childhood Unified in the State of Kansas and have experience as a teacher of preschool students.
Qualifications:CurrentEarly Childhood Education or or Early Childhood Unified License.
Physical/Emotional Requirements: The incumbent may be required to use theskills and abilities outlined below during any part of the working day:
Speaking hearing visual reading writing word processing mobility consistency of temperament ability to work with a variety of problems at the same time and stamina for working long hours and in stressproducing environments.
Performance Responsibilities:
Terms of Employment:
9 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board policy on evaluation ofcertified professional personnel.
