Instructional Assistant: 32 hours per week (Mondays Tuesdays Thursdays and Fridays from 7:45 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. 30 minute unpaid break; Wednesdays 7:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Hourly rate of pay is $22.46.
Primary Purpose
The Instructional Assistant supports the general education classroom teacher in preparing instructional materials assisting with classroom management and supervising students in a variety of school settings.

Applicants selected will be subject to security background investigation and must meet and maintain eligibiity and suitability requirements.
This position reports to the building principal and teacher as assigned.
The Classroom Assistant is employed by the district through yearly appointments and is compensated in accordance with hourly rates established by the School Committee.
Responsibilities
Provide assistance in development of classroom activities retrieval of materials and coordination of activities. Work with small groups within classroom. Monitor hallways and other activities outside of the classroom (including recess lunch and field trips). Complete administrative tasks (copying laminating etc. requested by the classroom teacher. Other tasks and duties as assigned.
