Federal Government AND Software Development Proposal Experience Required
NexGen Technologies Inc. is a leading IT services firm specializing in delivering innovative highquality solutions to our federal government clients. Our core competencies include IT professional support services software development cloud services IT Operations Agile project management and GIS services. We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Proposal Writer to join our team and lead the development of compliant compelling and winning proposals in response to federal government solicitations. This individual will be required to work closely with members of NexGen and clients teams including but not limited to subject matter experts technical staff and project managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
As the IT Technical Proposal Writer you will be responsible for managing and executing the proposal lifecycle for federal government RFPs RFQs and RFIs. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure the delivery of highquality compliant and persuasive proposals that showcase NexGens IT capabilities. You will serve as a senior writer who can craft clear concise and compelling technical content aligned to customer requirements.
- Proposal Writing
- Serve as the lead author for Executive Summaries Technical Volume sections and other narrative parts of the proposal.
- Translate complex technical and management solutions into compelling customercentric narratives.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather data and ensure technical accuracy and alignment with RFP requirements.
- Edit and proofread all proposal materials maintaining consistency of voice style and messaging.
- Technical Focus & Methodologies
- Showcase understanding of software development IT professional services and Agile methodologies in proposal responses.
- Ensure solutions and approaches reflect industry best practices current technologies and relevant compliance standards.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Interpret and clarify all proposal instructions evaluation criteria and compliance requirements within the RFP.
- Implement and enforce proposal processes standards and quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain a wellorganized and versioncontrolled proposal library including boilerplate materials past performance references and resumes.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor junior proposal coordinators writers and other support staff providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative environment with SMEs graphics designers contracts pricing and other stakeholders to produce comprehensive highquality proposals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all proposalrelated matters addressing questions and resolving conflicts.
- Collaborate with the staff to identify address and mitigate security risks and ensure compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical Skills:
- Technical Proposal Writing: 3 years of demonstrated success writing winning proposals for IT professional support services software development and other technical projects.
- Knowledge of Agile: Familiarity with Agile methodologies terminology and best practices.
- Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of FAR DFARS and other federal acquisition regulations as well as industrystandard proposal processes (Shipley APMP).
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex project deadlines delegate tasks and ensure team alignment.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Experience leading crossfunctional teams conducting review sessions and interacting with senior executives.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to translate complex IT solutions into concise and compelling proposal narratives.
- Tools Proficiency: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) Adobe Acrobat and project management tools (e.g. MS Project or equivalent).
Additional Requirements:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 50x25 50 mbps download x 25 mbps upload) is required.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect sensitive but unclassified federal information.
- The successful candidate will also be able to pass background screening prior to employment.
- US Citizenship or legal permanent residence or US work authorization with minimum 3 years of continuous US presence is required due to federal contract requirements.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in English Communications Business IT or a related field (Masters degree preferred).

Compensation: $65/hour to $80/hour (Dependent on Experience)
