LTC Math Interventionist

Burlington School District is seeking a passionate MathInterventionist (LTC) to join a school committed to high levels of achievement for all students at Lyman C. Hunt Middle School.Responsibilities include teaching sections of Algebra seminar as well as pushin math intervention support and/or coteaching via small group instruction to increase student proficiency.Essential skills include comfort competence and knowledge in providing math interventions for middle grade set 68. Experience with coteaching and/or collaborative teaching practices desired. Candidates with a strong knowledge of researchbased math best practices are preferred.

Required Qualifications:

    • Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License
    • Endorsement in middle school Math 19B) or eligible for Vermont Provisional License.
    • Experience in Math instruction/interventions
    • School experience at the middle school level
    • Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols
    • Knowledge of middle school research based best practices that accelerate learning for all students
    • Experience working with diverse learners
    • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Attributes:

    • Training and/or experience with English Language Learners.
    • Experience in a professional/teaching learning community
    • Evidence of studentcentered learning approaches including personalizing instruction and supporting students meeting core proficiencies
    • Evidence of implementing inclusive practices for students with special needs.
    • Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction
